“Weibo”, “We-Chat” and other micro tools”, as the new media channels, they have many powerful functions, such as convenient information, information guidance, information participation, information interaction, comprehensive service and so on, so they attracted the majority of college students who love and use them. The new media changes the channels that college students get information and their interpersonal ways. At the same time, their ideology is also deeply affected. Therefore, the use of “micro tools” has brought a great challenge for the ideological and political education work in higher vocational colleges.Combining the ideological and political education work in higher vocational colleges with “weibo” or “We-Chat” and other new media to explore the new ideas and ways of ideological and political education under a new situation and a new background has become a important problem which is worthy discussing in today’s education work, at the same time, it is also the requirements of earnestly implementing the national opinions on Strengthening and Improving Ideological and Political Work for University Students. Therefore, this research recognized the importance and necessity of strengthening and improving college students’ ideological and political education work under the new background.By combining the theoretic research with practical education historical background, this paper analyzed the general problems existing in current ideological and political education work in higher vocational colleges. In the research process, it designed the questionnaire, which has an outstanding theme and reflects the status quo. The questionnaire mainly includes two aspects of content. On the one hand, it investigated into the present situation that today’s college students surf the Internet; On the other hand, it understood the current situation of higher vocational college students’ ideological and political education courses. At the same time, through knowing the real situation of the content in these two aspects, it grasped the mutual relation and influence existing between the two. Meanwhile, it used SPSS statistical analysis software to find out various problems existing in the ideological and political education work in higher vocational colleges, so as to strive to analyze the reasons based on the real statistics, put forward innovative ideas and opinions which are close to students and the reality of higher vocational colleges, which provide a theoretical basis and practical significance for the study of ideological and political education.The thesis can be divided into five parts. First of all, it analyzed this research’s basis, background, research significance, literature review, questionnaire survey and the relevant research design. Starting from the realistic background and on the basis of previous study, it found a new angle to carry on the analysis, and explained the theoretical significance and realistic significance. Secondly, it made a statistical analysis on the data results of the questionnaire, and it put forward the status and problems existing in the ideological and political education from the perspective of “the present situation of ideological and political education in higher vocational colleges”, “the situation of higher vocational colleges students’ using ‘micro tools” to surf the Internet”, “the way of ideological and political education in higher vocational colleges”, and “ the characteristics and influence of ideological in higher vocational colleges under the background of “Micro-Age”. Thirdly, it analyzed the ideological and political education higher vocational colleges from the perspective of the present situation of educational method, “characteristic analysis” and “education platform elements”. Fourthly, it put forward the new way of ideological and political education in higher vocational colleges under the new background from the perspective of “concept innovation”, “content innovation” and “method innovation”. Fifthly, it summarized the thesis and put forward the deficiencies and the research prospect.
