School based teaching and research is a work that can promote the development of the school. At the same time, school-based teaching and research has promoted the development of teachers’ professional development. The school-based teaching research requires teachers to find the problems in daily teaching practice as the main research object, and the research results are used to solve the practical teaching problems, so as to promote the transformation of teachers to research teachers. Middle school mathematics school based teaching and research is the main form of teaching and research, hope that through the study of school-based teaching and research, to strengthen the understanding of school-based teaching and research; to help school-based teaching and research to promote.This study mainly uses questionnaire survey method and interview method, to understand the K city middle school mathematics teachers present situation of the school-based teaching research, and inquired about the middle school mathematics teachers in school-based teaching and research existing problem by collecting literature and data analysis; secondly, to lifelong learning theory, social interdependence theory and the theory of teacher professional development as a guide, combined with the survey found that the specific case, put forward corresponding countermeasures.Investigation and study show that K city middle school mathematics school-based teaching and research has the following advantages: the overall quality of the middle school mathematics teachers better, has formed a certain habit of teaching reflection; school teachers, the backbone has a good demonstration leading role; school leaders of school-based enough attention, preliminary formed the operation mechanism of school-based teaching research.At the same time, K city middle school mathematics school-based teaching research are the main problems: from the aspect of the teacher’s individual, "lack of internal driving force, time is difficult to ensure that the"; from the school level, "have the tendency of utilitarian, mechanism is not perfect, material security is not in place, the lack of long-term planning, mere form"; from the perspective of the external environment of the school, "professional to lead the lack of effectiveness, it is difficult to get understanding society.
