Character education has become an important issue in today’s education because the development of society needs teenagers have a sound personality. However, the mind of teenagers is vulnerable to the surrounding environment, so the community, schools and parents should unity to create a harmonious and healthy living environit for them; then all the school use different disciplines to educate the students, compared with the other subjects, Chinese has a unique advantage. Therefore, Chinese has an important responsibility to shape students’ personality. Although many people have realized the importance of personality, but there are still many problems in the course of school and family education. Fu Lei is not only a brilliant translator, he also studys literary, art and music, although he is not a educator, no specialized education books, but he is successful at his child’s personality education,he instill the concept of personality to their children by a unique way, his children develop into a sound human personality eventually. Fu Lei’s Education Thought is all in his letter written to his children, which is called "Fu Lei’s Letters", it can be a model for personality education, it is very popular as published, his education thought affects millions readers. I hope that Fu Lei’s Personality Education Thought can provide some useful lessons for contemporary personality and family education.In the first part, I want to find out the relationship between language education and personality education. Firstly, explain the concept of a sound personality, features and standard, and make a specific explanation for three factors influence-the environment in the social, family and school;Then recalle the development process of China’s character education; finally confirms the close relationship between Chinese and personality education from Chinese’s nature, target, basic concept and so on. The second part sum up Fu Lei’s Personality Education Thought as Life truth, learning the truth, housekeeping truth, then expound the feature of Fu Lei’s Personality-education from its content, emotion and methods, and finally explain the effect of his children.The third part includes some prombles in family education,such as ingore moral development,self-education and communication. Then pointed out the prombles in the school, for example the education target, teaching content and teaching mode tend to neglect personality training. At the end, I explore its direct inspiration for our personality education in family and school. I hope this study can wake up some people to change the current state of awareness of the missing character education, educators can learn some feasible strategies, parents can take the initiative to reflect on their own problems, they all strive to create a harmonious growing environment for the adults.
