| With the reform of the education, and in order to meet the actual needs of the current education, the improvement of the practical teaching ability of physical education normal students and the development of their quality and ability in practice, has become one of the key issues of current training for physical education normal students. The teaching ability training relies on teaching practice, and the most direct and effective method to participate in teaching practice is through practical curriculum study.Practical curriculum is a practical knowledge based curriculum, which is a process of learning, experience, self-reflection and analysis. And we could gain practical experience, improve practical ability and develop practical wisdom through the practical curriculum. The teaching ability of physical education teachers is the ability of teaching in certain physical teaching environment and completing a certain amount of mission teaching. The improvement of the teaching ability depends on a certain amount of detailed and the actual work instead of the theoretical study. In this paper, we focus on understanding the present situation of curriculum during the process of students training, finding the problems and disadvantages of practical curriculum and putting forward suggestions on practical curriculum, providing a reference for the curriculum in colleges. So we could better develop the teaching ability of physical education teachers and improve their professional competence.This article mainly takes the method of literature research, the comparative research, the questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics to conduct the research. By taking and analyzing a questionnaire on newly-appointed physical education teachers, we get to know the present situation of students’ teaching ability training and the relevant practical curriculum, finding the problems and deficiencies of practical curriculum, discussing on the curriculum that is needed, doing research on relevant factors of the curriculum. My paper comes to the conclusions as follows:1) The form of the practical curriculum in colleges is activities instead of curriculum.2) There are serious shortages in teaching ability training of physical education teachers.3) The differences of teachers’ education concept and their capacity and quality restrict the process of practical courses.4) There are shortcomings in practical wisdom of physical education teachers, leading a long adjustment period.For this reason, we present such suggestions:1) We should accelerate the study of practical curriculum by present conditions and resource.2) Practical curriculum should aim at the teaching ability of teachers.3) We should focus on the training of teachers of practical curriculum.4) We could strengthen the cooperation of universities and primary and secondary schools.5) We could train our ability of self-reflection. |
