Study On The University Library Participating In The Construction Of Campus Culture

With the development of society, more and more campus injury incidents have been exposed in the media. Scene after scene bloody facts make us realize that our higher education should strengthen comprehensive quality education and the education of morality and appreciation of the beauty. And the frequent campus injury incidents also show that there are deviations in college students’ outlook on life and values and world outlook. And even individual students have a personality disorder. All these indicate that the construction of campus culture is still a problem needed to be solved.The university library is the cultural center of the whole university, the information resource center and the second classroom. In the process of the comprehensive construction of the campus culture, the library should strengthen its leading role in the three aspects of cognition, value and aesthetics, and develop fully the advantages of its own culture, resource advantage and service advantage, and strengthen education function to let the students accept the edification of excellent campus culture, and establish a good atmosphere of campus culture through strengthening the construction of campus culture. Based on the basic education theories and the relevant knowledge of library, this paper gives the way of the University Library participating in the construction of campus culture by combining with myself practical work in the university library.From the point of view of staff in the library, this article analyzes the relationship between University Library and campus culture construction, and is divided into five parts. The first part analyzes the background and significance, and expounds the research status at home and abroad, as well as the research methods and innovation of this paper. In the second part, this paper expounds the significance of University Library participating in the construction of campus culture, discusses the necessity of the current campus culture construction, and points out the functions of University Library in the construction of campus culture, and analyzes the promoting role to the whole development of the University Library for strengthening construction of campus culture in universities as well. In the third part, through the survey of the 400 students in Huanghe Science and Technology College, this paper makes a thorough investigation of the current situation of the University Library in the construction of campus culture from all aspects, and analyzes and summarizes the results, and then put forward several factors of the current university library participating in the construction of campus culture. The fourth part proposes that present construction of campus culture is faced with many opportunities and challenges under the network information, diversity cultural and economic globalization. Colleges and universities should pay much attention to the change of society and environment, and accelerate the process of the construction of campus culture. In the fifth part, the paper proposes the specific measures to effectively participate in the construction of campus culture in the university library, which is based on the analysis of the former parts, taking Huanghe Science and Technology College as an example.
