An Empirical Study On The Contribution Of Higher Education To Economic Growth In Heilongjiang Province

The discussion on the relationship between higher education and economic growth has always been a hot topic.In recent years,Heilongjiang Province attaches great importance to the transformation of economic growth mode,adjusts the extensive industrial layout,and constantly creates a new economic development mode dominated by digital economy,biological economy,ice and snow economy,creative design,etc.Industrial transformation and upgrading cannot do without the support of professional talents.The era of knowledge economy has brought new development opportunities for Heilongjiang Province,which means that the economic growth of Heilongjiang Province has an increasing demand for higher education talents.As a major province of higher education,how to allocate existing educational resources and transform educational input into economic output scientifically and reasonably is an urgent problem for Heilongjiang Province to solve.It is of great theoretical and practical significance to explore the correlation between higher education and economic growth in Heilongjiang Province and quantify the contribution degree of higher education to economic growth by using scientific methods.This paper sorts out relevant research results at home and abroad,and uses human capital theory and other relevant theories to build theoretical support for the paper.Taking the higher education and economic growth of Heilongjiang Province as the research object,this paper makes a descriptive analysis of the status quo of higher education and economic growth of Heilongjiang Province,selects the number of higher education schools,students,teachers and other indicators to analyze its educational development level,and analyzes the economic growth level of Heilongjiang province from the general situation of economic growth and the status quo of economic structure.According to the status indicators of Heilongjiang Province,the variables were tested with the help of econometric analysis software,and the second-level nested CES production function model was constructed to verify the theoretical analysis and derivation of this paper.The empirical results show that:(1)In the long run,higher education in Heilongjiang Province has a positive promoting effect on economic growth.(2)In the short term,the development of higher education in Heilongjiang Province cannot promote economic growth,but the economic growth of Heilongjiang Province can promote the development of education.(3)Labor input in Heilongjiang Province can promote economic growth in both short and long term.Based on the existing problems of higher education and economic development in Heilongjiang Province and the results of empirical analysis,in order to effectively improve the contribution of higher education to economic development in Heilongjiang province,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to adjust the financial structure of education at all levels,enhance the synergistic effect of higher education and economic development,construct diversified financing channels of colleges and universities and optimize the allocation of innovation and entrepreneurship resources.
