Based on Babansky’s teaching process optimization theory and casing teaching theory, and through literature study method, questionnaire method and interview method, this thesis carries out a comprehensive research on the status quo of the case teaching in senior high school Geography, discusses about the combination of teaching optimization theory and case teaching in senior high school Geography, tries to put forward the implementation strategies for case teaching "optimization", in an attempt to make positive contributions to the optimization and perfection of case teaching in senior high school Geography. The whole thesis consists of six parts:Part Ⅰ is an Introduction. It makes a brief introduction of the background, significance, current condition and thinking of the research of case teaching for senior high school Geography.Part Ⅱ elaborates the theoretical foundation of case teaching optimization for senior high school Geography, defines the concepts of case teaching method and teaching optimization, and expounds on the research’s theoretical foundation from four aspects, i.e. constructivism, transfer hypothesis theory, teaching contact theory, and discovery learning theory.In Part Ⅲ, questionnaire survey is made about the status quo of the case teaching of senior high school Geography. It analyzes the inherent advantages and existing problems of teaching cases and case teaching method in the implementation of senior high school Geography teaching; it is the existence of the problems in teaching that endows the research of case teaching optimization with realistic necessity and feasibility.Part IV puts forward the design principle and methods of case teaching optimization for senior high school Geography. On the basis of theoretical elaboration and the study of current conditions, it puts forward the methods and strategies for the design of case teaching optimization for senior high school Geography.Part V makes a complete exposition of the implementation of case teaching optimization stage by stage, including three stages, namely, preparation stage before class, classroom implementation and operation stage, and after-class evaluation and feedback stage.Part Ⅵ is the summary and prospect. It briefly introduces the basic conclusion of this thesis, points out its shortages and comes up with a prospect of deepening the research of this topic.
