With the rapid development of network and information technology, online learning is to be one of the ways which people to accept education, greatly enriched the students’ learning. All types of schools, especially colleges and universities, have started to build their own e-learning platform for their students to study. Students’ online learning process is bound to generate a lot of behavioral data, how to analyze these data effectively to promote learning has become a key issue in the field of educational technology.In my study, Moodle will be used to build the e-learning platform for "Fundamentals of Computer Application". And then, I will be based on analysis of learning, take advantage of relevant analytical methods and tools, to analyze these data which are generated during the online learning process. Trough analysis, I can understand the learning characteristics and process of students. At the same time, I can monitor, evaluate and feedback the learning process effectively to promote learning.In my study, research methods mainly include documentary analysis, empirical research, content analysis and social network analysis. The main objectives of this study include three aspects:at first, to improve students’online learning by effective monitoring; next, to explore the value of learning analytics in the field of online learning; the last one is to enrich and improve the evaluation system of "Fundamentals of Computer Application". Content of this paper consists of six parts:(1) The introduction. Discusses the background, the status of this paper, the purpose and significance of the research, the content of the research and the research methods employed.(2) The research of learning analysis techniques and tools. The part mainly elaborates the concept, elements and models of learning analysis techniques, and learning methods and tools are described in detail.(3) " Fundamentals of Computer Application" network curriculum design. Details of the build process of "Fundamentals of Computer Application" network curriculum and the curriculum related instructional design, including the design of teaching process, teaching evaluation design, and so on.(4) Based on learning analytics to analyze data and tactics. Using statistical analysis, social network analysis and content analysis to analyze students’ online learning data, in order to identify problems and features in the learning process of students. Then,i will propose teaching strategies to solve these problems.(5) To analyze the effect of the application of learning analysis techniques. From job completion, students’visitation and other aspects to compare the before and after the effect of the two stages of learning, so as to explore the value of learning analytics in the field of online learning.(6) Summary and Outlook. To summarize this study, including the study’s conclusions and innovation, furthermore the problems and prospects of this research.
