| Along with the out coming of new course standards, many theories and principles on education have been influenced. Many people start to emphasize the place of Value Education in school education. The importance of Value Education is getting prominent each day. At present, the whole society begins to see the fact that Value Education plays an important role in promoting curriculum reform and realizing teaching goals. Based on this, this essay aims to do a survey on English teachers and students in Kunming No.10 middle school in order to see clearly to what degree and how Value Education is carried out in middle school. Through the study, the essay will comprehensively analyze of the necessity of Value Education and the existing problems in it and then conclude that some teaching strategies that can be applied to practice in order to help to carry out Value Education in English classes in junior middle schools.This topic mainly includes five chapters. The first chapter expounds the background, the urgency and significance of this study, and summarizes the overall structure. It is followed by a literature review which concerns mainly on the related theory of Value Education both at home and abroad and then concludes the writer’s views on Value Education in middle school English classroom teaching. The third chapter is sample study, which entails the current situation of Value Education, attention and expectation held by teachers and students and some existing problems. About the research methods, this topic mainly adopted literature method, investigation method, interview method, comparative analysis and case study. The fourth chapter describes the current circumstances of Value Education in English class in middle school under the background of New English curriculum and discusses how Value Education improves the teaching concept, innovate teaching methods. The last chapter summarizes the main achievements of this research and at the same time lists some limitations of the essay and put forward some prospects.The purpose of this study is to show the importance of Value Education in English teaching in middle school, illustrate the existing problems, and in the end put forward some strategies. Through the research and analysis, the essay comes to the conclusion that Value Education is of great significance in innovating teaching concept and improving the effect of English teaching.
