One of the discussion focuses on education has been the reform of English College Entrance Examination over the past two years. However, different people may have different opinions towards it, even it is said that English test would be cancelled. Hubei Province will not use its own English test paper from 2016. On the contrary, it will adopt the first version of the national test paper. These two versions differ in focuses and item types. As a result, some of the senior 3 students will have English test anxieties. Otherwise,this change is not the only reason. The aims of this study are to know the status of senior 3 students’ English test anxieties and to discuss the strategies. For the purpose of optimizing our teachings as well as letting the students face English tests more calmly. This research mainly solves the following research questions. Firstly, how are the levels of senior 3 students’ English test anxieties? Secondly, what are the sources of the anxieties? Thirdly, what are performances of the anxieties? Finally, how to relieve the high level of English test anxiety so as to make our teaching more efficient?To solve the above research questions, the writer adopted following research methods, such as documentary research method, questionnaires method, test method and interviewing method. The writer used documentary research method to understand the present researches which are related to the paper. Then the writer used test method to know the levels, sources and the performances of senior 3 students’ English test anxieties. Finally, the writer used interviewing method to get more authentic and more reliable information.By analyzing the results, the conclusions can be drawn as follows. First of all, most of the students in senior 3 in Shashi Middle School have English Test Anxiety. Secondly, the main source of their anxiety comes from others’ evaluation when they fail the test. From the view of item types, the main sources are error correction and writing. From the view of test focuses, the main source is the grammar. Thirdly, the main performance is that they can’t pay their full attention to the test.
