The plan of Liaoning Province special positions for teachers has made remarkable achievements since it was carried out in 2007. As a livelihood project of Liaoning Province government and an innovation which promoting graduates to the rural grass-roots employment, it has provided grass-roots employment opportunities for the majority of college graduates, and meanwhile, it also improved that the teaching quality and the structure of teachers of rural primary and secondary school to a certain extent. Special-post teachers are not only the main body of the Specially Contracted Teachers’ Plan but also the basis and the hope for the development of rural education, so their influence on the plan implementation effect cannot be ignored. Therefore, understanding the survival state of the “teachers” in Liaoning Province, finding out its problems, analyzing its problems, and proposing its solutions have the profound guiding significance.In order to know the real existence of “teachers” in the plan of Liaoning Province special positions for teachers comprehensively and objectively, 44 "teachers", entering between 2007 and 2014, from the southern, central and western region of Liaoning province are chosen as the research object.Research methods include interview method, literature analysis, mathematical statistics, etc. and take the interview method as the main one. This study includes the following specific contents:Chapter one, Introduction. It is about research purpose, contents, literature review, research methods and significance.Chapter two, The relevant concepts and the summary of the Specially Contracted Teachers’ Plan in Liaoning province. This chapter mainly defines the Specially Contracted Teachers’ Plan, the Special-post teachers, survival condition, and the concept of the Special-post teachers’ survival condition, and the background and the development of the policy, as well as a brief overview of the current implementation situation.Chapter three, The investigation of the Special-post teachers’ survival condition in Liaoning Province. This chapter is the major part of the paper. Its aim is to elaborate the survival conditions of the Special-post teachers from the following four aspects: lives, work, professional identity and professional development.Chapter four, The analysis of the causes of the problems and the suggestions of the problems. Based on the research results of the third chapter, problems are mainly displayed in:(1) the policy issues of plan of Liaoning Province special positions(2) the institutional issues of Special-post teachers(3) the mechanism issues of Special-post teachers(4) the cognition issues of Special-post teachers. So the author will put forward the following suggestions and countermeasures based on the problems:(1) to make a further improvement on the policy of the plan of Liaoning Province special positions(2) to perfect the institution of Special-post teachers(3) to set up a flexible Special-post teachers mechanism(4) to enhance Special-post teachers cognition...
