| With the fast development of science and technology, the environment of social network has changed gradually. Nowadays, the smart electronic device is becoming more and more essential for life. The phenomenon of the criticism of the free network and social media has become a national concerned problem. Today’s university students’ minds are engaged more than ever, opener than ever, their curiosities piqued more than ever, more daring to express themselves on the internet, to discover their own potential and discover their lives’ meaning on an individual basis. But what must not be forgotten, the formation of harmful ideologies may also occur much troubles during their internet discussions, which should be seriously treated by all of us.Freedom is the fuel of internet discussion vitality, and is also the key to resolve the competing ideologies. Marxism’s freedom theory discusses human nature; actualization of man and society, man-society interaction and influences, realizing freedom is the fusion of man’s self-awareness with society at large. Freedom can never transcend relations in society; its end is to develop every man’s individual freedom. Therefore, using the prism of Marxists’ freedom theory to study ideological problems about the discussions on the internet, not only will be able to derive theoretical underpinnings and guidelines for discussion, but also assist students in developing their ideology when discussing issues on the internet.This paper uses Marxist freedom theory to thoroughly analyze, through empirical survey of students’ internet discussion and behavior, evaluates the overall state of students’ course of discussions, existing problems and influential factors, to develop a free and reasonable system for appraising discussions on the internet, from the three tiers of school, society and the individual propose a free internet discussion appraisal, to strengthen the policies and the suggestions of university students’ ideological education. On an educational institutional level, students’ Marxist theory education must be buttressed, in order to assist them in finding the right sense of freedom; on a societal level, the legal literacy of students must be enhanced, allowing them respect for rule of law while adjust to a freer society; on an individual level, moral education of students must be strengthened, allowing them to develop superior interpersonal skills and build a harmonious society, and finally further strengthen the timeliness and efficacy of the education of students’ political thought. |
