Around 1980 science education started in our country, nowadays it has become a very important content of scientific education, great achievements have been made in theory and practical application, but scientific method education system is not perfect, many problems need further study, scientific method education is different between countries and textbook is the carrier of scientific methods, whether the editor pays attention to the education of the scientific method in the process of writing, whether scientific method education is manifest or not, the validity of the cultivation of students’ scientific literacy of scientific method in textbooks are the standard of measuring textbooks.This paper choose two sets of textbooks, one set is the science textbook of Zhejiang for junior high school, the other is the Science Explorer textbooks from the United States. The methods used in the study is text analysis, literature review and statistics. Firstly, according to the present situation of scientific method education at home and abroad, this paper makes a literature review and introduces the introduction and classification of the scientific method. Then I analysis and count the content, compare the difference of scientific method in two sets of textbooks, Evaluating advantages and disadvantages, then offer recommendations for improvement and writing cases that manifesting the scientific method education.The paper can be divided into six chapters. Chapter one is the introduction, mainly introduces the research background, issues, significance and research methods, the second chapter is literature review, which made a summary and narration of recent research status. The third chapter is the main part, which compare the science textbook of Zhejiang for junior high school and Science Explorer textbooks from the United States. In the fourth chapter, the advantages and disadvantages of science methods education of two textbooks are summarized and evaluated. In the fifthchapter, adaptation has been made from the content and exercises of the science methods manifesting education. The sixth chapter is the conclusion and the deficiency of this study and the prospects for future research.
