In order to better carry out our country ordinary university sports teaching advocates "quality education"、"health first" spirit, improve the construction of physical education connotation, rich in physical education teaching contents, promoting the comprehensive physical quality of college students, to solve the problems of ordinary medical college students lack of interest in physical education, physical education curriculum teaching reform research design and effect evaluation. Open new ways of school quality education, for the teaching reform injected the new education idea, the traditional sports mode single homogeneity the physical education curriculum content, teaching mode, to provide reference for other universities to carry out the sports teaching reform, has certain theoretical practical significance.This study in order to Taishan Medical University ongoing physical education curriculum teaching reform as the research object, research content includes the school 2007-2011 grade students’physique health status, students’physique health test score index dynamic analysis, the ordinary university public physical education teaching reform environment students fitness level and dynamic analysis, after the reform of teaching mode and the traditional teaching mode of students physical health test results contrast analysis, different groups of college students under the new teaching model fitness analysis and other research, access to relevant information.Taishan Medical University sports curriculum design, teaching reform not only pay attention to students’interests and personality development, and attaches great importance to the students’ability training and the establishment of the concept of lifelong sports. Formed the basis of physical education curriculum teaching (grade one); Option class teaching (grade 2); Sunshine physical training learning (the club), basic health teaching with the combination of modern new public sports course teaching mode.The final research conclusion is:after three years of practical operation, Taishan Medical University physical education curriculum teaching quality connotation construction has larger ascension, effect is obvious; The physical health condition of college students appeared positive change; A considerable improvement of PE teachers’teaching enthusiasm. To carry out the student-centered teaching operation mechanism and mode, sports health education in common colleges and universities can better adapt to the student main body development and social development needs. In order to promote the improvement of college students’physical health level and deepen the reform of the ordinary university sports curriculum teaching provides the basis of the theory and practice, is worth promoting.
