| Mother tongue textbook is the reflection and reaction of a national mainstream culture. Primary school language textbook relatively to secondary stage, need to pay more attention to form the social acceptance of knowledge, rules, traditions, beliefs, and values to students.Different countries pay attention to the different knowledge, rules, view selection traditional beliefs and values of in textbooks.This article are studied the primary school language textbook "Reading Street" of the United States Scott Forseman publishing company from the cultural perspective,analyzing of the proportion of different types of culture; grade difference of culture type; and the overall cultural orientation.Founding that "Reading Street" has the law of meeting physical and mental development of students; paying attention to the cultivation of the spirit of perseverance, encouraging risk-taking innovation and pursuing of dreams; promoting the establishment of friendship with animals, to protect their homes; paying attention to the history and culture of the United States and the multi culture of other countries. There are also some defects in the neglect of human common moral concept and of the contemporary civilization of other countries.This paper is divided into four main parts:The first part is to clarify the relevant concepts, in which cultural and cultural orientation is important. Discussing the existing research results, based on which, advances the research emphasis of this paper.Analysis of the theoretical basis of this paperThe second part is sort out the three related language curriculum standards on the part of the textbook culture, understanding the requirements and expectations of the textbook culture in the curriculum standard.And the system and structure of "Reading Street" is introduced.The third and the fourth part is the main content of the dissertation. In the third part, the research framework is established, the theme of text is classified according to the framework. Statistical quantitative rules of different cultural items presented in the theme of the text.The fourth part combined with the quantitative statistics of the third part to summarize the cultural orientation of "Reading Street".Finally, there are three references to the cultural construction of Chinese Textbooks in "Reading Street":the diversity of cultural content in textbook;respecting for differences, caring of personality, paying attention to special children.focusing on the integration of language subject and other subjects. |
