The Research Of The Service Model Of Social Work For Domestic Violence Take The Domestic Violence Against Women For Example

Family is the cell of the society, so its harmony affects the stability of the society. Domestic violence is an undoubtedly buried time bomb in the society. According to the third phase of the Chinese women’s social status survey report announced by the China Women’s Federation, we found that it still has nearly 25%of the women suffered from different forms of domestic violence in their marriage. From a global point of view, domestic violence exists in any country, any nation, anyone could be a victim. Because of various reasons, women are always the main victims. It has enacted special laws to prohibit domestic violence in more than 40 countries or regions in the world. China also passed the "Anti-domestic Violence Law of the People’s Republic of China" in December 27,2015.Domestic violence has been existed in many years in our country. Many serious criminal cases are caused by long-term family violence. In 2009,Dong Shan Shan, a girl from Beijing, abused to death by her husband’s beaten, many other events clearly showed the serious harm of family violence. Before the law came on, a lot of battered women struggled with domestic violence. Even if those women were lucky to get out the environment, they also had to face the physical and psychological pain.We explored the reason of the domestic violence, it is related to our traditional national concept. The rootstock of inequality between men and women reflects the inequality of social gender culture. When the abused women asked for help, they didn’t receive the timely help because of the lack of social support. And the most terrible thing is public ignorance.With the introduction of the law, social work which guided by altruism and based on scientific knowledge, provides service though the scientific method. When we provide the help to battered women, it makes up for shortcomings of traditional methods. Social work stimulates the potential ability of these women by coordinated resources and solves their problem. At the same time, it can lead to a self-growth of the family. Case work help the single woman or whole family; Social workers help abused women to vent their emotions and build a support network through group work, and give a counseling to male perpetrators to correct their bad ideas and establish the values of equality between men and women. Community workers build a comprehensive intervention network to give a timely help to the abused women. Legal publicity and education could create a good atmosphere of anti-domestic violence in the community. The most important thing is to advocate the values of equality between men and women in the whole society.In this paper, I analyze the reasons of family violence from the angle of psychology and sociology through consulting related materials. From the perspective of social work, I explore how to establish a serve model of social work on domestic violence under the guidance of the anti-domestic violence law, and analyze the significance and feasibility of the model.
