Right now great prosperity can contribute to the liberation and all-round development of people, more effectively coping with the great challenge of culture globalization development and make people realize the power of socialist culture.At present, the cultural development has entered a new stage, facing the new normal, multicultural coexistence development. Which cultural exchanges between the increasingly frequent makes our country culture consciously ascending become urgent needs. Therefore, as a strong successor to the traditional culture and social culture and the development of college students, but also more should raise their high level of cultural consciousness, strengthening cultural confidence, so as to realize cultural strength.This paper, taking Shanxi college students cultural consciousness as the research object, on the basis of the theory of cultural consciousness, the connotation of the college students’ cultural consciousness and the preliminary definition and the specific requirements for interpretation, analysis and reflection of the current situation of Shanxi university college students’ cultural consciousness and the reason, and tries to put forward targeted promotion in the coping strategies.This paper consists of five parts, the first chapter is introduction. Explains the research background and research significance of this article, reviewing the related domestic and foreign research present situation, this paper introduces the research methods and innovations of this article. The second chapter explains cultural consciousness and other related concepts, definitions on college students’ cultural consciousness, points out the uniqueness of the college students’ cultural awareness as well as the important influence on college students’ development, at the same time introduce marxism about person’s full scale development, historical materialism and dialectics theory, make people more clear understanding college students’ cultural consciousness; The third chapter studies of Shanxi university cultural consciousness present situation analysis, through actual investigation and interviews, found that although Shanxi cultural consciousness status quo of college students has the positive side, but also in Chinese traditional culture still exist were lower, viewpoint of mainstream ideology is weak, blind worship of western cultural phenomenon seriously, vulgarity of cultural value orientation, prominent symptom such as cultural innovation ability is weak. The fifth chapter is Suggestions on college students’ cultural consciousness.
