The Relationship Between Divorce Rate And Birth Rate As Well As Unemployment Of State-owned Enterprise Of Liaoning

In recent years the divorce rate in China increased very fast especially in Liaoning province. Based on the divorce data of Liaoning province this paper established an econometric model to analyze the influence of birth rate and lay-off of state-owned enterprise on the divorce to see whether this two factors are reason of divorce or what the relationship of divorce and birth rate or divorce of lay-off of state-owned enterprise on condition the assumption of rational people in the economy. These two factors related to two kind of main policy in Liaoning province including birth control and the reform of state-owned enterprise.In this paper divorce has been affected by the birth control and the reform of state-owned enterprise. However the result and relationship between birth rate or lay-off of state-owned enterprise and divorce seemed go beyond the theoretical prediction. This paper divide the data from 1985 to 2010 into two period:on is from 1985 to 1997 and the other is from 1998 to 2010. From 1985 to 1997 the divorce rate has a negative relationship with birth rate and has a positive relationship with the lay-off of state-owned enterprise. But from 1985 to 2010 the data present a difference direction. The former matched the theoretical prediction but the other not.In the last part this paper used cross-section panel data and Eviews to do an empirical research based on the data from 1998 to 2010. But the data from 1985 to 1997 cannot be reached by this method because of the lost and missing of data of lay-off of state-owned enterprise of areas as well as birth rate. So this paper used trend analysis according to figure to do a contrast with the results of empirical research based on the data from 1998 to 2010.At last this paper conclude the reason of this contradiction.
