But the current point of view, many local high schools in the history classroom teaching, of local history resources development and utilization of less, many schools don’t even have to local history resources, leading to many students of local history knowledge is very scarce. Therefore, it is necessary to further study how to effectively develop and utilize the local historical resources in middle school history teaching, so that it can play the role of Ideological and moral education and patriotic education. Based on the in Longli County, Guizhou Province as an example, in the literature data collection, collation and summary, analysis of the Guizhou Longli County local history resources development and utilization of the status quo and the existing problems, it puts forward how to develop and utilize the local local data more efficiently and effectively, and makes a conclusion and reflection, to earnestly adjust measures to local conditions, fully rational use of local history resources, improve the efficiency of history teaching and promoting the reform of history curriculum, really reach the history teaching of the "three-dimensional target" emotional values to achieve the aim of training.
