This research mainly focus on generational differences of sense of fairness and conducts it through the logic model of "measure", " Comparative Analysis" and then "factor analysis ". Firstly, based on analysis of national survey data, the study observes the general trend and specific situation of intergenerational differences.Secondly, combined the social change and social structure with specific policy areas, intergenerational differences are compared and analyzed in housing policy, education policy and employment policy. Then, the study summarizes influential factors which cause generational differences of sense of fairness and verifies the effectiveness of the framwork of "History-Society-Individual". Finally, based on the results of empirical research data, it analyzes the historical factors, social factors and individual factors which cause the intergenerational differences and then provides policy recommendationsThe study found that there are generational differences of sense of fairness and influential factors in contemporary China.Roughly speaking, with increasing age, sense of fairness is gradually decreasing. Born in the 1980 s, the public’s sense of fairness to a minimum. Born in the 1990 s, the public’s sense of fairness rises slightly. The overall trend is generally U-shaped. In the college entrance examination system, selection of new cadres, public health, compulsory education, political rights, judicial and law enforcement, the development gap between different regions, pension and other social security benefits and so on, generational differences of sense of fairness are consistent with overall trend of social fairness.Born in the 1980 s,the public feel lower than others in the selection of new cadres.Born in 1949, the public feel low in equal opportunities ofemployment. The study suggests that, from the social point of view, the current system of macro, public policy of meso and social relationships of micro shape intergenerational sense of fairness. From the historical point of view, historical time, the right time and lasted social role influence intergenerational sense of fairness. From the individual point of view, the individual generates sense of fairness by two interactive pathways that they are “compared with the people" and "contacted with the affairs".At the same time, the cumulative advantages and disadvantages enhance and dilute the effect of intergenerational sense of fairness.
