PBL(problem-based learning,PBL for short) is a new teaching model under the guidance of constructivism theory,it emphasizes a meaningful problem situation,which is designed on the basis of students’ knowledge and experience,then students solve the problem in the form of groups.It can help improve students’ self-learning ability and develop their ability of communication and cooperation.PBL model has unique teaching value, which has caused widespread attention in recent years and the researchers has made some achievements.So this article chose “The practice research of PBL on chemistry teaching in senior one ”as research subject.The author analyzed relevant literature at home and abroad,expounded the connotation,characteristics,essential factors of the PBL model,and compared it with traditional teaching model from many angles.Then the author put the PBL model into practical chemistry teaching in senior high school by the example of “Sulfur dioxide bleaching”.Teaching process is as follows: Created problem situation to arouse students’ interest--Identified the major problem and gave the role to students--Discussed the problem and determined the starting conditions--Collected and analyzed information--Solved new issues--Made plan and solved the problem--Switched roles and enhanced students’ experience.Through the research,we found that PBL model had many advantages:(1)It can improve students’ interest in learning.(2)It contributes to promote students’ mastery of knowledge.(3)It can help students enhance the sense of cooperation and develop their ability of communication.(4)It helps students experience the process of self-learning.Considering the conclusion of the practice,the author proposed some suggestions:(1)Society and the school should work together to improve teaching resources.(2)Encourage teachers to change their teaching concept and accept the challenge actively.(3) Encourage students participate in teaching activities positively.(4)Use time wisely.
