Class is a training ground, and also is the carrier of the teachers and students growing together, carrying the students’knowledge, ability, emotion and wisdom, and offers students a platform to show their existence, life and living state. In terms of the nature and direction of classroom teaching reform, all classroom teaching activities aim at achieving the ultimate goal which is to promote the students’ability development and healthy growth, and to improve students’living quality extremely. Based on the former research and the current national educational policy, the author tries to construct geographical ability classroom on the perspective of students’life growth, and hope that comply the ability intention based on following the laws of students’life growth, and cultivates students’ability in geography, learning, language expression, cooperation, emotion and so on through geography classroom instruction, to improve the wisdom, to guide the direction, to lay the foundation, and to add the motivation for students’life growth.Education and teaching is fundamentally a life problem. And the purpose of education is to acquire some abilities to promote human’s lives quality by education methods. Therefore, only regarding the life growth as the starting point to cultivate students’ability, can students develop their potential, realize themselves value and ideal of life.This research tries to explore an effective main line of teaching methods from the two perspectives of life growth and ability intention, combined with relevant cases, adopting documentary study method, questionnaire survey method, case analysis method, and then keep on exploring, extending and innovating class teaching methods which are good for students’comprehensively healthy development on this main line.The article is divided into seven parts:The first part is the introduction which elaborates the background of the subject, the significance of the research and the research status both at home and abroad, and innovative.The second part defines the core concept and the theoretical basis. Making sure of the concept of the life growth, geographical ability classroom, care education and quality education. According to the three theories of caring education theory, quality education and humanism thought, it argues the feasibility of geographical ability classroom based on students’life growth.The third part investigates the degree of the attention put on students’life growth and the situation of cultivating the students’ability, and summarizes the survey result, analyzed the reasons as well.The fourth part elaborates the superiority of geographical ability classroom based on students’life growth. Through personally practice, the author draws a conclusion that geographical ability classroom based on students life growth is more conducive to the comprehensive development of students’ability, to realize the value of students’ lives, to enrich the students’life virtually, and moreover to benefit both of the students and the society.The fifth part elaborates three principles of implementing geographical ability classroom based on students’life growth, which are principles of respecting all the students trusting all the students’scientific evaluation. During Classroom teaching, only focus on students, and regard students’lives growth as the starting point, and get a clear understanding of students’subject-position, can we serve students and cultivate students better.The sixth part is the core content of this article, it elaborates the structure of the geographical ability classroom system firstly, and then according to the structure of ability system and the problems in the survey results, comes up with a strategy of constructing geographical ability classroom based on the students’life growth. From the four aspects of developing the abilities of using the map, processing the geographical information, geographical practice, and geographical thinking, it elaborates the cultivation of geography subject ability, which adds wisdom to students’ life growth. Giving students’references by different study methods to specific geographical knowledge in geography classroom, providing motivation and opportunities for students by designing special lessons and inter communions of geographical learning methods, and then the goal of developing students’ability can be achieved, and those scientific study methods can lead the direction of the students’ growth. And it develop students’language expression ability through normalizing geographical languages on purpose. By creating situations which are conducive to communications between teacher and students in geography class, it lays a foundation that the student individual can develop better and integrate into the group. And through observation and communication in geography class, students’emotional problems can be noticed, so direct or indirect counseling can be given to develop students’ability to adopt to the contemporary society timely, and to help life growth.The seventh part summarizes the conclusion of this article, and reflects the deficiency of this research, and finally put the forward.
