Study On The Management Mode Of Independent College From The Perspective Of Multi Center Governance

As the rising force of higher education in our country, independent college is a new type of higher education institution which established with a new format in a new system, and therefore could combine the resources from public universities and the whole society. The independent college has been playing an important role in the popularization of higher education, exploration toward the pathway of the systematic revolution of higher education, and the facilitation and promotion of private higher education system. However, there are certain inevitable problems along with the development of the independent college, such as the unclarified rights, responsibilities and profit distribution with the affiliated university, the imperfection of board of directors system, and meanwhile the systemic advantages still remain to be utilized.Based on the research of the independent college management model in the perspective of multi-center governance, this paper analyzes the status quo and problems of the independent college management model, trying to provide solutions to the series of problems of the independent college management model. This paper also analyzes the problems in the development of independent colleges, and tries to build a more effective and flexible management mode, thus promote the sustainable and healthy development of our country.This paper is made up of seven Sections. The first section introduces the basis and significance of the research, literature review, theoretical basis and research methods, innovation and deficiency. The second section describes the theory of independent college management mode in the perspective of multi-center governance. The third section analyzes the emergence, development, present situation, significance and management mode of the independent college. The fourth section is the reasoning of the management mode of the independent colleges in our country. The fifth section introduces the current management mode of Southeast University, and summarizes the advanced experience, problems and analysis of the management model. In the sixth section, we draw lessons from the management mode of foreign private universities, trying to get the revelation of the management mode of the independent colleges in our country. In the seventh section, the countermeasures and suggestions on the reform of independent college management mode have been put forward by focusing on the six parts which consists the management mode of the Independent College. Government, society and market are known as the parts of external level, and the internal level parts are affiliated university, investment and independent college. From the perspective of multi center governance theory, the multi agent coordination of independent college is realized, and the role of multiple subjects is better, so as to improve the quality of personnel training and social reputation, and make contribution to the development of education.
