Research On The Construction Of Jiangsu Province Elite Athlete Social Insurance System

In recent years, Jiangsu Province has made great achievements in competitive Sports. That to ensure the sustainable development of competitive sports, and to protect the vital interests of elite athletes, requires more attention and strengthens elite athlete social Insurance work. The Third Plenary Session of eighteenth Central Committee clearly puts forward the reform of endowment insurance system in government institutions, and speeds up and improves the organization of social security management system and service system. Social Insurance is the core of social security. Strengthening the construction of the elite athlete Social Insurance system is imperative.This article makes reference to related research, by adopting the combination of theoretical research and survey research. At first, according to the characteristics of the elite athlete, this paper analyzes the current situation and problem of the elite athlete social insurance system of Jiangsu province, based on the theory of social security. Then through empirical research, four aspects of the problem are summed up. Elite athlete social insurance was incomplete, low degree of integration; athlete salary income is low; financial and human investment are insufficient; the elite athletes themselves don’t pay enough attention. At last, to solve the problems, this paper puts forward some suggestions:to promote the integrated construction of elite athlete social insurance system, to speed up the implementation of elite athlete performance salary, to cut costs and raise funds through multiple channels, to develop sport system industry safeguards, to enhance team building.The innovation in this paper lies in the following:at present, the research of the institution’s social insurance system, especially, the construction of elite athlete social insurance system, is less. And the existing research mostly concerns the overall aspects of social security, rather than social insurance. From the perspective of the construction of elite athlete social insurance system, this paper can make up for gaps in research of this field to a certain extent. Meanwhile, the suggestions for the current problems proposed by this paper help improve the athlete security, help protect the vital interests of elite athletes, and help provide a reference for the scientific policy-making of sport administrative department in our province. Therefore, this research also has a strong practical significance.
