Since the implementation of reform and opening up policy in 1980 s, Chinese colleges have been constantly expanding in sizes, numbers and their enrollment, which is also accompanied by increasing students’ unexpected incidents year after year. The college-students’ unexpected incidents with great harm, not only disturb the normal teaching procedures, management and campus-life order, but also negatively affected the development of society in a great extent.This thesis first analyzes the existing research on students’ unexpected incidents in colleges by domestic and foreign scholars. Combining the J Vocational College’s own situation, the thesis holds deeper understanding on characteristics, types and causes of formation of today’s college-students’ unexpected incidents by applying practical research such as questionnaires and symposiums and then analyzes the current status of colleges unexpected incidents’ countermeasures and points out the problems.Furthermore, the thesis puts forward the coping strategies in this social transition period,the normative process for dealing with the unexpected incidents and the perfect countermeasures of college-students’ unexpected incidents to ensure the sustainable development of colleges in stable and harmonious environment.The thesis is divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction, showing the significance of the topic and an overview of the previous research by domestic(including Hong Kong and Taiwan) and foreign scholars. It also briefly describes the research methods and ideas, as well as the theoretical basis and general framework.The second part of the thesis is the beginning of the body part. Through the concept defining and characteristics understanding on the college-students’ unexpected incidents classified according to its own research direction, the thesis makes an analysison causes formed under different circumstances.The third part takes the J Vocational College as the research sample, summarizing the current situation of college-students’ unexpected incidents’ countermeasures, the main approaches and the existing problems.The last part indicates that the countermeasures of college-students’ unexpected incidents should be improved through establishing a scientific concept, regulating handling-process, strengthening response and management capacity of the college staff such as tutors, head teachers, etc. |
