Higher education in China has entered the universal stage with the scale and number expanding very quickly as well as that of private higher learning institution, which plays a very important role in solving the problem of limited supply with large needs for higher education. With the rapid development of private universities, the emergency events increase as well, for some private universities it is "disaster." Therefore, private colleges are going to face the challenge on emergency management. In this paper, with example of emergency management universities in recent years in Jiangxi, reviews the private universities emergency management mechanism and put forward some opinions about the reforms.This article follows logic from the theory to reality, through the documents, case studies and comparative analysis to complete the research. With a lot of documents, in the possession of large amounts of data, based on learning and learn from the experience of the government to respond to emergencies and models, using the example analysis in the form of private college students prevention mechanisms and emergency response mechanisms were in-depth reflection on the private college students the causes of incidents and characteristics of in-depth analysis, and on this basis proposed private colleges and universities in response to and prevention of emergencies prevention and response measures to improve the emergency management of private universities the ability to maximize prevention and mitigation of emergencies on the adverse impact of private colleges and universities to ensure the healthy development of private universities.This paper is divided into five parts:one, Chapter 1, Introduction; Chapter 2 Describes incidents of private universities; Chapter 3 Private Colleges and Universities in Jiangxi emergency disposal of the status quo; Chapter 4 Drawing on the U.S. private colleges and universities emergencies experience in emergency management system; Chapter 5 Private colleges and universities to strengthen emergency management of countermeasures.
