A Study Of Nurturing System Of Undergraduate Publishing Education In The UK

This dissertation is under a changing environment of publishing industry driven by internet development and market-orientated reform of publishing in China. Through demonstrate external and internal situation of the UK publishing education in last 5 years, providing suggestions to Chinese publishing education in undergraduate level. Anaysising the 9 universities of the UK publishing education which can be used as a model for Chinese publishing eudcation reformation. This dissertation structured by four main parts: the development patterns of the UK publishing eudcation, the current situation of undergraduate publishing education, a compare and contrast of the UK and Chinese publishing education and suggestions for Chinese publishing education development in the international evernment. The methods of this dissertation are Interview, Field investigation, Content analysis and Comparison.My recommendations for the transposition of the UK publishing education methods to China are better connections between Chinese publishing education and the industry, teachers with strong industry experience, challenging students to nurture their creativity and more diverse learning tools.
