With the new geography curriculum reform, the cultivation of geographical ability is considered as a important aspect of geography teaching. The geographical subject ability is an important content of geographical ability. The geographical subject ability cultivation of high school students helps to improve the students’ geographical ability and promote students. At present, although it is recognized that the cultivation of geographical subject ability is important for geography teaching, the geography teachers are not familiar with the specific strategies and operations for cultivating the geographical subject ability. In order to efficiently cultivating the geographical subject ability and providing the operational experience, the author used Google Earth as an auxiliary tool to research the strategies of cultivating geographical subject ability. With the development of Google Earth, it will be important theoretical and practical significance to study the strategies of geographical subject ability cultivation.Based on the reviewing documents, the thesis defined the geographical subject ability and the content of geographical subject ability of high school students. After observing the students’ study behavior in Zhengding middle school of Hebei, the author regarded Google Earth as auxiliary tool and ascertained the strategies for cultivating geographical subject ability of high school students. At last, the author verified the effect of the strategies with geography education experiments.The thesis was divided into six chapters.The introduction chapter as well as literature review, the author emphasized the great importance of geographical subject ability and the application of Google Earth in geography teaching. Then the author introduced the background, status, significance, content and method of research.The second chapter summarized the definition of geographical subject ability and discussed the core geographical ability of the high school student and the author presented the significance of cultivating geographical subject ability at the end of this chapter.The third chapter mainly elaborated the functions and operations of Google Earth (GE) related to the geography teaching. Through the analysis of the high school geography textbook, the author summarized the main application fields of the Google Earth in geography teaching. Finally, the author states the advantages of the Google Earth.The fourth chapter was about the using strategies of GE based on the cultivation of high school students’geographical subject ability. On the basic principles of GE cultivating students’geographical subject ability, the author stated the strategies of the core geographical ability cultivation of high school students with different modules of GE.The fifth chapter discussed on the effect research of the strategies for cultivating high school students’geographical subject ability with GE. The author obtained specific data from the questionaire. The author used SPSS20.0 software to analyze the results of the questionaires. The s results indicated that there was a significant effect to cultivate student’s geographical subject ability based on GE software.In the last chapter. The author summarized the content of cultivating high school students’geographical subject ability with GE, and analyzed the results of geography teaching experiments. Based on the cultivation strategies of geographical subject ability, the author summarized the conclusion of the article, pointed out the deficiency of this study, forecasted the related researches.
