Under the basic background of curriculum reform, in order to keep abreast of the time, biology new curriculum reform should pay more attention to students’ development and the social needs, reflect the latest progress of biological science and technology, and pay more attention to the life experience of the students as well as their active learning. Suddenly, inquiry-based learning extensively developed, and as a traditional way of study, accepting study was snubbed by the world. Some people think that accepting learning is passive, mechanical, and against the requirements of the new curriculum. Present situation of the high school biology teaching, however, is the teaching content widely and trivial, relatively backward teaching resources, while under the exam-oriented education system, students’ autonomous learning ability is rather poor. Teachers in the high quality class show blindly emphasis on inquiry learning, while they still giving priority to the traditional instilling methods in the usual teaching.David Pawl Ausubel, a famous American psychologist offered a systematic and comprehensive psychological basis of theory and practice for the students, and had carried on the creative attempt and exploration to the psychology of learning theory and the organic combination of teaching theory. Ausubel emphasized meaningful learning, the core of which was whether students could learn the new knowledge mainly depends on their cognitive structure of the existing relevant concepts. Meaningful learning was through new knowledge with the students’ cognitive structure existing in the concept interaction to occur as a result of the interaction, thus leading to the assimilation of old and new knowledge.The author applied theory of Ausubel meaningful accepting study in high school biology classroom based on years of teaching reflection, carried theoretical support and practical guidance. The author analyzed the meterrials from multiple angles such as the teaching strategy, content analysis, case analysis, teaching enlightenment, aimed at to make a systematical summary for the meaningful reception learning theory suitable for high school biology, provide the theory guidance for the implementation of the specific teaching case, stimulate the teachers to think a lot and enlighten for the future teaching. Certainly, even though the author advocated meaningful accepting study in this article, the author made it clear that it is not right in everything. There’s not a master card that applies to the teaching of all knowledge. Therefore, in the actual teaching process, the most appropriate teaching method should be adopted according to different teaching content with a variety of teaching modes...
