Rousseau’s theory of education as an important part of Rousseau thought, is mainly reflected in his book-"Emile". Rousseau’s education theory is a product of historical development, in the darkest of times to the eve of the French Revolution, he putted forward some innovation concepts which was against child’s education issues at that time’s society education, for example, when we educate children we should conform them to the nature, can not push them too hard, don’t over education, or we will have the opposite effect. This paper will summarize the Rousseau’s thought of education, analyzes his theory background, development process, the characteristics of the thought, and the impact on the world, and then combined with the education problems to apply the education theory of Rousseau in practice.Child’s education is the foundation in one’s life. Many people like parents, teachers and the social from all walks of life have paid great attention to it. To hope one’s children will have a bright future is all parents’ hope. However this desire is so strong that it become a heavy burden to the parents and children, they have curbed the nature of the child’s freedom. Rousseau’s theory is aimed at to solve the problems of his time, and this also has reference significance to the modern education. From the author’s view of the current education activity, the phenomenon of excessive education is full of everywhere, including high teaching target, difficult content, course for a long time and rigid teaching process, and too early for child to go to school, such problems were the most urgently needed to solve. However, the occurrence of such problems is not accidental, the deep reason can be summed up in a few aspects:muzzled by instrumental rationality, restriction on traditional conservative ideas, rigid education system and improper outlook on children.Finally, this paper explores the influence of Rousseau’s idea of the world where the most value, noting its educational theory can be valuable contribution made to human education.
