As the main places to transport qualified successor to socialism with Chinese characteristics, colleges and universities spread scientific and cultural knowledge, cultivate highly-competent people. At present, the young teachers, who are the hopes of higher education development, are gradually being the main forces of higher education. As Han Yu says in SHISHUO a teacher is one who could propagate the doctrine, impart professional knowledge and resolve doubts. A teacher teaches knowledge and skill, but educating people is more important. A teacher not only is the mentor of college students on the way to pursuing knowledge, but also the guider that help college students set up correct world outlook, outlook on life, values. The young teachers have the close ages with college students. Thus, their political view, teaching and learning attitude, even personal words and actions can very easily be the mock object of college students. Therefore, the ideological and political educations of young teachers not only matter their personal development, the improvement of education quality in colleges, the implementation of socialist core values, but dramatically influence the long-term growth of higher education in China.The objective of this research was focused on the young teacher under 45-years old in Nanjing Technology University. We investigate their current status of daily work and life, and research the excellent aspects of ideological and political performance in young teachers team as well as the issues which should be further improved and solved. The first-hand data was obtained directly by answer the established questions in the 100 questionnaires combined with the subject setting of Nanjing Technology University and the distribution of department, ages, majors and tittles.Concepts and objectives of the ideological and political education for young teachers were presented firstly. Aimed at the obvious problems in the questionnaire, the reason was analyzed from three aspects of society, universities and young teachers themselves. Combined with the real situation in Nanjing Technology University, the effect of ideological and political education of young teachers in Nanjing Technology University can be improved from five aspects, which are enriching the theoretical research, building good surroundings, optimizing operation mechanism, exploring effective methods, and motivating and inspiring the strengthen of young teachers.
