China education reform and development outline figures out: The hope of revitalizing the nation lies in education, and the hope is that teachers. With the vigorous development of education, private education has received more attention from all walks of life. In the concern about the development of private middle school, the professional development of the teachers in the private school is very important. The improvement of teachers’ education and teaching quality is the decisive factor to the development and stability of the school. With the development of public education group and the development of private education, private secondary school teachers in the original salary, benefits, pension, social recognition, and many other aspects have been a great challenge; the original advantages are disappearing gradually. Therefore, it has a very important strategic significance to build a stable, efficient, reasonable and vibrant private teacher group.In the study, the spirit of the development of private education concept, to Chengdu Municipal typical private schools as samples, using a combination of questionnaires and interviews of two typical private middle school teachers professional development situation were investigation, a comprehensive understanding of the teachers structure, professional emotion, professional skills, professional development goals and planning and the approach of the professional development. Besides, through the interview with the teachers, the outstanding teachers and the school responsible person, to further understand the current situation and development of private middle school teachers, to explore the reasons for the problem, and propose effective strategies, but also hope that the good development of private schools in other provinces and cities play a certain reference role.The thesis consists of six parts as follows:The first chapter is the introduction, including the research background, the research significance, the research goal, the core concept definition and the research method.The second chapter, the social status and living conditions of private teachers in foreign countries are introduced firstly. Secondly, the problems, reasons, suggestions and trends of development of private teachers in China are analyzed.The third chapter, the main problems in the course of the development of the teachers’ professional development are analyzed.The fourth chapter is the analysis of the interviews with the teachers and the real records of their thoughts and further analysis of the current situation, difficulties and problems in the development of private teachers.The fifth chapter analyzes the experience of the development of teachers’ professional development, from the three aspects of nation, school and individual.The sixth chapter is the conclusion of this study and the main conclusions and shortcomings of this study.
