Teachers’ Professional Identity is the recognition of their own individual engaged in the teaching profession, as well as the development process of confirming their professional role. By the method of questionnaire survey, this study investigates the status of professional identity teachers in private middle schools in Chengdu, and make the detailed study on the demographic variables.The main results are as follows:(1)Teachers in private middle school have a higher level of professional identity;(2)Teachers’ professional identity has a very significant differences in gender, and the female teachers’ score is higher;(3)Teachers’ professional identity has a very significant differences in education age, and along with the growth of the education age, teachers’ professional identity level is higher;(4)Teachers’ professional identity has a very significant differences in educational background, and the lower degree of teachers, their professional identity level is higher;(5)Teachers’ professional identity has a very significant differences in professional title, and the higher degree of teachers, their professional identity level is higher;(6)Teachers’ professional identity has a very significant differences in school level, senior middle school teachers’ score is higher;(7)Teachers’ professional identity has a very significant differences in subject, and science teachers’ professional identity is higher than liberal arts teachers, and they are also higher than that other subjects;By considering the results of professional identity of teachers in private middle schools in Chengdu, this study puts forward the countermeasures to solve the problem of private middle school teachers’ professional identity from teachers, school, society and policy four aspects...
