Practices after class teaching which is a part of the Chinese teaching materials occupies an important position in the Chinese teaching materials. Based on the research of practices after class teaching in recent years and the theories of cognitive process of new taxonomy of Bloom, the paper combs and analyses the novels practices after class teaching in junior middle school Chinese of People’s Education Press in order to provide the reference to the design of the practices, the “teaching” of teachers and the “studying” of students.The first part of the paper focuses on introducing and typing the theories of compiling practices after class teaching. From the angle of macro, micro and reality, it points that the cognitive process dimension of Bloom has a positive influence in the field of education in China. Meanwhile, the theory has an enlightening significance to design and to use the novels practices after class teaching of junior middle school Chinese.The second part mainly stands in the perspective of the cognitive process to comb the distribution of “explorations and practices” of novels practices after class teaching from seven to nine grades from the micro angle. Then, this part counts the number of the distribution in novels practices after class teaching basing on the six categories and nineteen sub-categories of cognitive process dimension. The last, this part analyses the advantage in carrying out the new idea of curriculum standard and the disadvantage in uneven distribution of the cognitive press about the novels practices after class teaching in junior middle school Chinese of People’s Education Press.The third part mainly gives advice to the designer of junior middle school Chinese teaching materials and the user of teachers and students. The designers should not only consider the combination of comprehensive systemic and the individual, but also show the diversity of topics, the balance of number and the diversity of structure. The teachers should fully exert the value of the novels practices after class teaching in increasing knowledge and training the ability of Chinese. Aswell as, the students should use the novels practices after class teaching to preview the novels in advance and elevate knowledge and ability after class teaching.
