To understand current situation of primary school students private tutoring, the author to Guiyang city’ s primary school pupils and their parents as the research object, on the status of the pupils’ extracurricular cram were questionnaire survey and interview, and the results were analyzed. To understand the primary school students to participate in extracurricular cram school, explore the primary and secondary students to participate in extra-curricular tutoring, through the results of the survey and interview content analysis of the positive effects and existing problems, and according to the existing problems put forward corresponding countermeasure, hopes to put forward opinions for reference for primary and secondary students in extra-curricular tutorial.According to the "Blue Book of education, China Education Development Report" students out of school education status quosurvey compiled "primary and secondary school students extracurricular situation questionnaire, the questionnaire is divided into roll roll and the parents of the students, to prepare the interview outline of Guiyang city s Primary School of 400 students and 100 parents of questionnaire and interview. First of all, the author through the questionnaire survey results and interview content analysis the reasons of students participate in extra-curricular tutoring are: internal reasons-- driving their own learning motivation, external reasons-- parents requirements, existing social pressures; secondly, the positive function of primary school tutoring from the results of the questionnaire and analysis summary: Students’ learning effect improve, improve the learning interest and learning ability, expand students’ knowledge, increase the competitive strength, enhance self-confidence and communication skills; we can see that the parents and students think that there is a certain effect in extracurricular classes, not only improves academic performance, but also make students in artistic accomplishment, personality development has increased. But from the results of the questionnaire and the interview records can also be to explore the problems students tutoring: Student: increase the academic burden and psychological pressure; to extracurricular cram school excessive dependence, ignored the mainstream school education; parents: Contrary to students volunteered to learn the principle, produce of learning disgust, excessive extracurricular tuition costs, to family economic burden, and between students and parents vie with each other. Finally, to deal with these problems, the author from the three aspects of students, parents, schools and proposed the opinion: according to the actual situation, the rational choice of after-school classes; urges parents to change their concepts of education; to make up for the lack of school education, control students find off campus educational resources; school entrance system needs to be changed by diversified academic evaluation.
