Science originated from practical demands, and the same goes to cross-cultural communication. Entering 21 th century, there are lots of signicant changes going on around the globe, while cross-cultural communication become more prosperous. In Vietnam, the government take cross-cultural communication as an important part of foreign affairs matters, because of which many cross-cultural communication media came up. Studies on the factors that impact Vietnam Pictorial’s cross-cultural communication on university students has vital theoretical and practical significance to improve the effects of cross-cultural communication.From the perspective of Communication Sciences, this paper takes Vietnam Pictorial as an example, selects students from Chongqing Normal University, Chongqing Mecial University and Chongqing University as targt audiences, uses quantitative and qualitative research method, finally try to explore the factors that affects cross-cultural communication results 279 survey data was analyzed by software SPSS 21.0, the results are as followed:(1) Chongqing students browse news mainly on the Internet,other media are rarely used; they browse news to learn more about society life, and they put great value on the news’ authenticity and objectivity;(2) Chongqing students have positive attitudes towards Vietnam Pictorial, saying that it displys a vivid picture of Vietnam special culture, and their favorite part is Tourism Column. They also expressed wishes of seeing more articles of relationship between Vietnam and China, Vietnam Tourism, life of ordinary Vietnamese;(3) Chongqing students’ cognition and attitude towards Vietnam Pictorial is limited to lead to actual behaviors;(4) Content of Vietnam Pictorial is significantly related to students’ cognition, attitude and behavior, of which authenticity and objectivity are two most important factors.
