Recently, the improvement and popularize of the mobile computing technology and communication technology, especially for the 3G communication technology lay a technical foundation for the rapid development of m-learning. M-learning refers to a way of informal learning that could happen relatively independent in anytime and anywhere, with the support of mobile network technology and mobile device, which makes the communication between the teachers and students more convenient and flexible. M-learning is a supplement to e-learning. At present, the extracurricular autonomous learning has become the main form of formal education, and developed rapidly. This paper intends to study on how to combine extracurricular autonomous learning of elementary math and mobile effectively, and play the power of informal education while doing good for school education to finally promote the knowledge and ability of autonomous learning.This paper is divided into five parts. Firstly, through the literature method, the paper research on mobile learning at home and abroad, and defined the related concept of mobile learning and autonomous learning. The second part consists of two units, the first is to investigate parents, students, teachers, This unit is to determine the presence of extracurricular autonomous learning in elementary mathematics, the problems and their perspective of mobile learning, and then puts forward the necessity and feasibility of the application of m-learning in extracurricular autonomous learning of elementary mathematics. The investigate surveys the students’ autonomous learning habits have attract parents’ and teachers’ attention. They thought it is a very important factor which influences the learning of mathematics. In order to achieve the ideal effect in the application of mobile learning in mathematics, and also hope to try to do something useful in developing some of the habits, so the investigation of students’ autonomous learning habits has been put in the second unit, which is to determine the focus of habits in each grade, and provides the necessary basis for the resources and modes in design of M-learning strategy and case. The third part, we put forward the strategies in application of mobile learning in extracurricular autonomous learning of elementary mathematics. In the fourth part, three specific cases of application of mobile learning have been designed, and the application effects have been described in this part. Finally, we summarize the research and prospect the development of m-learning.
