Research On The Information Management System For Swimming Judges

As the society developes at a quick pace, Information Management System has been wildly used in every field. Recently, swimming has been under the rapid development in our country and the number of swimming tournaments has been soaring like the rocket. It is significant to build the team of swimming judges (judges mentioned below), which is a guarantee for tournaments to run well. To better the management of swimming judge team (the team mentioned below) has been placed on the agenda. Computer Database Management System is used for the management of Judge’s information, which is an effective way to prompt a more scientific and standard management swimming tournament as well as a positive boost for swimming.So far, paper has been being medium for recording judges’ information in Sports Management Department at all levels in our country with simple and crude method and without abundant information, which is hard to meet the demands of all kinds of swimming tournaments in domestic and overseas. I once served as a judge in swimming tournaments at the province or city levels. And I am going to share my experience here. It is the poor management of judges’ information that pushes me to consider whether computer technologies can be introduced into the Information Management. Luckly, this demand was raised defintely by the Swimming Jury Commit of Chinese Swimming Association on the 2014 Annual Conference.Documentation Method, Expert Interview Method and Questionnaire Method are put into use in this thesis for analysis current problems in the management of judges, for a definite target of the judge’s information management system and for functional requirements analysis, design of database structure and system module.Microsoft Access 2007, which has been wildly used, was selected to be the developing platform for the Information Management System. Modules for administrator information, judges’ information are integrated in the system. Besides, related index of swimming judges can be quickly and efficiently input, stored, rewritten, inquired and output in the system according to different requirements, through which judge group can be organized. The system provides a scientific and effective management to prompt the team construction and brings convenience to tournament organizers, which thereby popularizes swimming.
