| Compared to other schools, the teaching of Chinese is especially important for an art school.However, under the current circumstances, there is an over-emphasis on academic studies accompanied by negligence of cultural studies. There is no room for optimism in the teaching of Chinese in art schools. Many scholars conclude from their research that the most efficient way of teaching Chinese in an art school is through the integration of art and the Chinese language. Based on previous research done by others, I have corroborated the research findings with my personal teaching experience.
