The intention of the paper is to study the theory and practice of integrating information technology into mathematics curriculum (ITTC) mainly through studying the correlated documents and examples with "Geometry tool". The essay chiefly sets forth the following opinions:1 .Integrating information technology into mathematics curriculum refersto a new pattern of instruction-------combine information technology, information resource ,information method ,human resource with curriculum content to accomplish instructional task of curriculum .The difference of ITTC and CAI is that ITTC is the higher developed phrase of CAI .It emphasizes not only on assisting instruction and learning ,but also on creating an ideal learning environment with information technology .So the object of the paper is decided .2.Information technology represented by hypermedia and network has advantages that traditional instruction doesn't have. When integrated into mathematics curriculum , that is to say, combined with mathematics instruction process ,information technology can create the most ideal instruction environment for new pattern of instructional structure .The interaction of hypermedia can inspire students' interest in study and embody their subjectivity. The variety of simulates offered by hypermedia is good for achieving and keeping information .The hypertext of hypermedia system can validly orgnizeand manage instructional information .Network is favourable to collaborative study that can cultivate cooperative spirit and accelerate development of higher cognitive ability. The combination of hypertext and network is benificial for discovering study that can cultivate creating spirit and accelerate development of information ability . Whatsmore, information technology offers better instructional environment and technology support for mathematics experiments.3.The paper points out that constructivism is the basis of ITTC.4.On the basis of analysing "teacher-centre" and "student-centre" instructional structures , it points out to create a new mathematics instructional structure ?"subjugate-subjectivity" and it is the main aim of integrating information technology into mathematics curriculum .5. Integrating information technology into curriculum should follow some principles , such as employment of information technology should be good for students' cognitive to mathematics materials, the function of information technology and teacher should be good to each other , and it should let students participate .Furthermore ,this paper illustrates how to make instructional design of integrating information technology into mathematics curriculum through some examples.6.Practice of integrating information technology into Geometry curriculum can be taken by creating problem situation with figures ..showing rules by dynamic, figures, creating environment that will push discovery and lettingstudents do mathematics experiments .7. As to practice of integrating information technology into mathematics concept instruction , we can create instruction environment and show abundant materials , which can make students know about the settings of concept and feel the process of concept forming.8.There are many advantages in integrating information technology into mathematics problem-solving instruction. First, it can accelerate class-instruction speed and enlarge class capacity. Second , the emphasis of instruction can be put on dynamic researching ,and the interaction of computer can change and deepen the problems ,which make the research both interesting and challenging. Third ,we can conduct changeable exercises and open problems to develop students' imagination and creativity.9.Last, the paper analysed two correlated problems, one is how to regard compute ability, logical ability and space imagination ability with computer going into mathematics and the other is how to deal with the relations between live and abstract, induce and deduce, and interaction and emotional communication, how to...
