The Current High School Chinese Novel Teaching Materials And Research

Whether the works of Lu Xun and Jin Yong are selected as teaching materials leads us to think about the selection of teaching materials and pay attection to the problem of novel selection for Senior High Chinese textbooks published by people’s Education press. There are two problems with the current teaching material selection of novels. One is the content of selected novels. Objectively,the novels are not selected reasonably. Besides, they can’t be combined with teaching aims and examinations, which result in teaching novels less effectively. The other problem is the arrangement of novels in each unit. Because the lenghths and the contents of the selected novels in the compulsory teaching materials are limited, the layout of them are not proper. Although the arrangement of elective teaching materials is relatively reasonable, there are still some problems that need discussing.Based on the analysis of the existing problems, I put forward the idea of selecting novels for teaching materials. First of all, select the novels whose lengths and contents are suitable for senior high Chinese teaching. At the same time, make sure they are classical and interesting and have novel teaching and appreciating values. Secondly, the compilation style should be improved. There are some disadvantages of eraditivral topic arrangement, so with its useful aspects, we hope to find a more reasonable style of arrangements, which can better match the novel teaching and are good for improving students’ understanding of novels and their skills of appreciating novels.Finally, after novel selectun, we can discuss about teaching thoughts and methods.To a certain extent, teaching material can help to promote teaching. Thus, only a breakthrough in the practical teaching can make the compilation of teaching materials better and better. In the future, there will be still problems with the compilator of teaching materials, so it is a big thing for educators. We need plenty of people to work hard and continue to explore in order to cater for the change of the times.
