In recent society, the popularization of higher education makes it a must to standardise the training objective, school-running system, research field, course selection and teaching methods in the line with the concept and criterion of mass education. The transition of pedagogical education to teachers’ education requires the teacher training system to go from being isolated to diversified, and from being phased to life-long. This also requires the innovation of the management of students majoring in education and promotes the upgradation of their qualities. The evolution of basic education advocates quality-oriented education, which poses new requests to the teachers’ thought, knowledge, skills and psychology etc. How to meet the requirements of the evolution of basic education, eapecially how to improve the efficiency of management is of great importance.Therefore, this essay which aims to explore some strategies to employ strict but flexible management is realistic and significant. This essay is based on the survey of the present situation of several teachers’ colleges in fujian province. The writer examins some possible problems after empirical studies such as questionaires, literature review, seminar and interview, and puts forward the new strict but flexible management stratgy in order to provide some theories and references for the management of students majoring in education.
