The Study of Tao Xingzhi in Fujian focuses on research, practicing and innovative activities about his thought and practice in the area of Fujian province. Under the guidance of the history of historical materialism, this paper follow the basic paradigm of educational history research and analyzes systematically the development process and characteristics of The Study of Tao Xingzhi in Fujian which is divided into 3 periods:The foundation period:the spread foundation period of The Study of Tao Xingzhi in Fujian(the end of 1920’s-1983); the development period:the comprehensive development of The Study of Tao Xingzhi in Fujian (1984-the end of twentieth Century),the boom period:the experimental rise period of the Study of Tao Xingzhi in Fujian (early 21st Century --). During the foundation period, the body of The Study of Tao Xingzhi in Fujian is full of his students and enthusiastic crowds. They broadcast and practice his life education theory and play an important role in guiding the reform of rural normal education, found village schools and serve Fujian rural economy. During the development period, The Study of Tao Xingzhi in Fujian was established. The main body of The Study of Tao Xingzhi in Fujian was more organized. They dig Tao Xingzhi educational thought of the new value advancing with the times and participated in the reform of Fujian rural education and normal education. And the practice of "combining agriculture with science and education" became a typical rural education reform in Fujian. After 21st Century The Study of Tao Xingzhi in Fujian was in the experimental rise period. It had a breakthrough in the theory innovation and the construction of relevant experimental schools. They put forward the "new life education", "Five volley" and " Drives five Tao go together " and provided a new theoretical reference and reform ideas for the reform of basic education in Fujian province. More than 80 years of study, The Study of Tao Xingzhi in Fujian has tracked the time in theory and bold attempt in practice. They didn’t only received a lot of experience about organizations construction, subject researches, experimental schools construction and publicity about The Study of Tao Xingzhi in Fujian, but also had a lot of problems such as the research subject ignoring the masses of people, research methods lacking of diversity, the lack of the value of research content, the lack of radiation of experimental schools. The author thinks that the future research should pay more attention to applying the life theory on the experimental school construction, strengthening the importance of the organization’s own construction and Cultivation Tao, pay attention to speed up the exploration and the promotion of experimental school construction mode and pay attention to the "Min Faction" characteristic construction.
