Education in rural areas is relatively weak in basic education in China, to which is paid high attention by different social sectors, but the teachers in rural areas play an important role in education in rural areas so that their mental health problems are worth close attention. Subsequently, the research on job burnout of teachers in rural areas becomes a common problem in pedagogy and psychology. Job burnout refers to a series of psychological and physiological syndrome displayed and produced by the stress response between individual emotional tension over a long period of time and interpersonal tensions. Rural teachers’ job burnout appearing in the life and work can affect normal teaching and do harm to teachers in health. The researches on teachers’ job burnout in recent years suggest that the improvement of teaching efficacy can reduce teachers’ job burnout, and meanwhile social support, the improvement of which can enhance teaching efficacy, is also an important factor affecting teachers’ job burnout. Therefore, there is a close relationship among the three factors.To further discuss the relationship of teachers’ job burnout, teaching efficacy, and social support, the present research investigates 507 teachers in rural places through questionnaire survey and personal interview, analyzing the situations of job burnout in rural teachers and the differences of demography variables casting different influential factors on dimensions, and then inspecting the effects of teaching efficacy and social support on job burnout, and the function of teaching efficacy in between social support and job burnout. After the statistical analysis of collected data, the research results are listed as follows: 1. The less serious phenomenon of job burnout exists in the teachers in rural areas; the emotional exhaustion and deindividuation of the male teachers are higher than that of female teachers. 2. It is significantly correlated among the rural teachers’ job burnout, teaching efficacy and social support.Based on the results of related data analysis, conclusions can be accurately drawn: 1. The phenomenon of rural teachers’ job burnout is not serious 2. Teaching efficiency serves as an intermediary between rural teachers’ job burnout and social support.According to the research findings above, the present research proposes to further improve rural teachers’ social support and enhance teaching efficacy so as torelieve the job burnout of the teachers in rural areas.
