The Research Of Textbook In Frontier Region Of China During The Period Of Nanjing National Government(1927-1949)

During the period of Nanjing National government(1927-1949), the internal and external problems of China were slow and uneven but the government of China still attached great importance to the development of national education. The government attached great importance to the educational development in frontier regions as education could bring about the unity of all ethnic groups. Education can help strengthen the development of China. Therefore, the government focused on providing textbooks of published books for the frontier areas. This was beneficial to promote the education in frontier region and the cultural fusion. This act not only helped enhance the frontier school education and culture construction but also resolve the political problems of frontier region.The thesis mainly analyses the problem of frontier textbook in period of Nanjing National Government. At the beginning of the Nanjing National Government, the government focused on the frontier textbook. It analyses the background of politics,culture and educational policy about frontier textbook and explained the importance of frontier textbook during the period of Nanjing National Government. The government also paid attention to method of publishing textbooks, expenditure, incentive system and the principles and regulations. This thesis analyses the compiled institutions process of editing of frontier textbook, the writing types and principles, the influence of the curriculum of textbook compilation and the mode of the textbook during the period of Nanjing National Government. The research analyses the implementation effect of the frontier textbook and the evaluation during the period of Nanjing National Government.In a word, during the whole period of Nanjing National Government, because the government focused on the education and the textbook in frontier region, that solved the problem of textbooks in the frontier region and promoted the development of frontier education. It laid the foundation for the development of frontier education and textbook and at the same time improved the knowledge level of the frontier minority students to promote the perfection of the frontier education and development.
