Abstract/Summary:
The differences between urban and rural economic development have brought the differences in cultural background between urban and rural education. For the rural youth who are in the process of value formation, the textbook is their legitimate window to understand the world and subtle value orientation in it can affect their world outlook and values. However, currently, "one textbook which used by both urban and rural areas" reflects "the halo of city superiority ", which will to a certain extent affect the formation of the rural students’ positive local emotions and self-culture identity. Therefore, "local knowledge" on behalf of local legal status needs to be reflected in rural education. Local knowledge, on the other hand, plays an important role in perfecting rural teachers’ knowledge structure and revealing rural teachers’ social roles of "country literati".Based on the above research backgrounds, this research takes "local knowledge of rural teachers" as the breakthrough point, chooses Chinese subject as the background and selects elementary schools as the research scope in order to study on the compilation of local knowledge manual for rural Chinese teachers. On the basis of carding the researches on "Chinese teacher knowledge" and " the application of local knowledge in Chinese teaching", etc, "local knowledge", "local knowledge manual" and other core concepts are defined. And the study not only clarifies the values of compiling local knowledge manual in promoting teacher development, student development & carrying out teaching activities, but also determines the principles of compiling manual such as locality, effectiveness, sense of organization and generativity. In the specific part, we selects a rural field, with the help of a cooperative teacher, in order to explain the manual’s programming and concrete contents through specific operations and analysis.This study is dedicated to the study on the compilation of local knowledge manual for rural Chinese teachers. The study tries to follow the main program of "investigating--collecting--analyzing--writing", specifically including the status quo and tendency survey of rural Chinese teachers’ local knowledge in established rural field, the collection of local materials in established rural field, the analysis of the local materials and Chinese textbooks, the arrangement of local materials & its corresponding suggestions and so on. The study forms the specific content and the framework structure of the manual through the method of integrating point and sphere. Among them, the concrete content mainly refers to the chapters in this manual, which consist of "the material instructions", "the material link", "the teaching advice" and other modules. And the structure frame of the manual, in addition to the chapters in the manual, includes the manual’s "preface", "catalog", "afterword", etc. Finally, some suggestions are put forward for subsequent manual compiling such as enhancing related theory research, striving for multi-sectoral support and cooperation, facilitating the manual’s application and debugging, etc.
