| Primary and secondary school mental health education is an important part of quality education,and counseling room is the important positions and special places to undertake school mental health education.Scientific and rational construction of school counseling room can be effective in implementing primary and secondary school mental health education, fostering students’ psychological quality and promoting their overall development.This study is conducted with self-compiled "questionnaire of primary and secondary school counseling room building in Jiangxi Province" on counseling rooms of 82 primary and secondary schools in Jiangxi Province.On the basis of realizing the construction status of school counseling room, including house construction, facility equipment and teacher development,as well as psychology teacher comments on the school counseling room construction,we analysis counseling room construction problems in Jiangxi primary and secondary schools and explore how to build the counseling room,to provide valuable references for facilitating the construction of counseling room in Jiangxi primary and secondary schools.The analysis shows that several problems exist in counseling room construction:(1)The position of counseling room is indefinite and the constructive purpose is unclear;(2)Construction plans are delayed too long between start and implementation;(3)Equipment configuration lacks applicability;(4)The school offers fewer resources;(5)Teachers’ are weak in professional competence that utilizing equipment little.To promote primary and secondary school counseling room in Jiangxi Province scientifically planning and reasonably constructing,this study present several suggestions as followed:(1)Position primary and secondary school counseling room scientifically;(2)Follow the siting principles of counseling room construction, and reasonably divide its function rooms;(3)Rationally configure counseling room equipment;(4)Strengthen teachers construction of the counseling room;(5)Strengthen counseling room’s management;(6)Construct regional school counseling centers. |
