Quadratic Function is one of the most important functions in middle school. In Compulsory Education Mathematics Curriculum Standard, the learning of Quadratic Function is significant and difficult for the ninth grade student, and is one of the content of Senior High School Entrance Examination. Moreover, it is also a learning object for the senior high school student. Therefore, it is necessary to learn the knowledge of Quadratic Function well for the student of Junior middle school stage.In this research, the author investigates the Quadratic Function learning of the student of Junior Middle School. Reviewed literature, and combined the author’s three-years teaching experience and scores of the Quadratic Function in the Hainan Effects Examination, the author explains the Research Significance, Research Purpose and Overseas and Domestic Research Status about the function learning. In addition, the importance and necessity of Quadratic Function learning in the mathematic learning of Junior middle school are also analyzed in this research.In order to investigate the current status of Quadratic Function learning for the student of Junior middle school, the author respectively adopts the Survey Research Methods to make a questionnaire survey in the ninth student and teacher of Wanning Middle School and Wanning Siyuan School, Wanning, Hainan province. Via the student questionnaire survey, the author analyses the survey data by Excel, presents the result in the form of table and preliminary realizes the difficulty of Quadratic Function learning for student. Furthermore, based on the result of student questionnaire survey and the further interviews for student and teacher, the author eventually obtains the existing difficulties and reasons of Quadratic Function learning for the student of Junior middle school, and proposes corresponding teaching countermeasures.Through the questionnaire survey, it can be found that there exist many difficulties in the Quadratic Function learning of student of junior middle school, such as the Quadratic Function concept learning, the Quadratic Function solving, the figure and nature learning and application of the Quadratic Function. Note that the main reasons of Quadratic Function learning are the knowledge itself, the way of student learning and teacher teaching. Aiming at the specific difficulty and reason, the corresponding teaching countermeasures are proposed for student and teacher, respectively. Importantly, the teaching countermeasures can be a reference for junior high school teacher who teaches the Quadratic Function, avoid the teaching misunderstanding, and make the student learn the knowledge of Quadratic Function well at the junior middle school. It can be a solid foundation for the further function learning at senior high school stage.
