With the rapidly development of social economy, the educational system need properly innovation and development in order to meet the needs of today’s social and economic development. At present, the imbalance of economic development and social stratification under the conditions of different class, there must be a lot of inequality. And different family income lead to children in the education process in the admission, learning process, academic results, and occupation and social status and has a great influence on. To promote fairness in education, promote the balanced development of education is one of the most important goals of education reform and development, it is necessary to pay attention to the influence of family background on academic achievement.The purpose of this study is to determine the family background and academic achievement of college students, through the literature review, and through empirical research with relevant variables. Among them, family background, including family income, parents’ educational level, social status, parents’ political outlook four variables; academic achievement students learning achievement and non-achievement. Through the questionnaire to collect the sample information, analysis of the current situation of family background and academic achievement of students, to explore the different family background variables on the level of academic achievement of students, and whether there are significant differences between variables, family background and academic achievement.
