Father has a unique and can’t be replaced function in the process of children’s growth. However, for a long time, father has been an invisible character in family education because of the following factors: the traditional culture, the development of society, father themselves etc. Nowadays, because of father absence, the kids have made all kinds of mistakes, that has aroused public attention.This study takes post-90 s college students as research objects, analyzes the situation of fatherhood involvement in family education from children’s perspective.By using the document method, questionnaire and interview survey, the author attempts to combine qualitative and quantitative analysis, and make a research on the attitude and forms of fatherhood involvement, the content and degree of participate,effective factors, and post-90 s college students’ evaluation and expectation to their fathers and so on.The result shows that the majority of post-90 s college students’ fathers still belong to traditional type. They still insist on one-side and outdated concept of education, and lack of understanding of the father’s participation in family education.And the post-90 s college students’ fathers participation level is just so-so. In addition,from high to low, the content of fatherhood involvement are as follows: daily routine teaching, interpersonal relations guidance, learning activities counseling, the last one is emotional and behavioral treatment. There is a big gap between the objective evaluation and the expectation to their fathers in post-90 s college students’ mind.Based on the investigation and analysis on the situation of fatherhood involvement,the paper introduces respectively these effective factors, the background of these kids,including the gender, the number of children, the nation. Parents’ socioeconomic status including educational status and parents’ profession. And the surroundings as family sources, family structure, family relationship and the attitude of mothers. From these three aspects, the author discuses and verifies that father’s participation could make a big influence.From all these above, we can see that father’s participation has three problems need to be solved. The first one is the dilemma of attitude and pattern. The second is the absence on content and degree. The last one is the huge gap between ideal and reality. Finally, according to these problems, the author has proposed some count-measures and some suggestions based on father themselves, family and society three aspects. The father should change their role definition to be effective in reality.The other members of family should build a harmonious family relationship and change the traditional gender notion, provide support for fathers by keeping family education consistency. And the social relevant departments should advance thefatherhood involvement from three aspects, making some relevant policies and regulations, offering fatherhood skills training course, developing the activity of parent-child interaction.
